Frequently Asked Questions

The Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Conference is ADvancing States’ national conference designed to convene state, federal, and local policymakers; leaders who administer, manage, and deliver waiver and other HCBS programs; as well as all those who share interest in improving state systems that deliver long-term services and supports (LTSS) for all ages and abilities.

This year, the HCBS Conference will be a hybrid (in-person / virtual) experience on August 14-18, 2022. You will be able to learn about the latest programming and product innovations; connect with like-minded peers from across the nation; discover solutions from our expansive sponsor and exhibitor ecosystem; level-up your knowledge and abilities with specialized learning intensives; and be inspired by nationally-renowned speakers.
This conference is for federal, state, and local policymakers as well as those who administer, manage, and deliver waiver and other HCBS programs. Everyone who shares interest in improving state systems that deliver long-term services and supports (LTSS) is welcome.

Attendees will have access to national speakers; educational and innovative sessions; keynote addresses; and more. The conference will include video-forward networking with leaders and peers in the landscape of LTSS; key publication releases; and demos with technical experts in the field.
As we make our exciting return to in-person conferences, we want to assure all of our attendees that safety is our top priority. We want you to feel safe and comfortable so that you can focus on learning and collaborating with your peers. We will follow all CDC guidance provided at the time of the conference and are requiring all in-person attendees to be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to attending to the conference. Proof of vaccination and a negative PCR or Rapid test result within 72 hours of the conference will be required to enter the event upon arrival. At this time, masks are optional indoors.
